What secret is it about? Dr. Vegapunk continues his message to the world. So far, he has revealed some secrets. We now also know that the world will sink into the sea. His next message was supposed to address all those who have a D. in their name.
The fandom has known for several years that there is a “Will of D.” This will encompasses all individuals whose second name starts with a D. These include the following characters:
- the Monkey family (Luffy, Dragon, Garp)
- the Nefeltari family (Vivi, Cobra)
- the Puma family (Ace, Rouge)
- Gol D. Roger
- Marshall D. Teach (Blackbeard)
- Trafalgar D. Water Law
- Rocks D. Xebec
- Hagwar D. Sauro
Dr. Vegapunk starts the message with the words “among you there is.” After that, his message is interrupted because the Five Elders have found his location and ended the transmission.

The Will of D. and its Meaning
What could the message have hinted at? To find out the exact meaning of this teaser, fans have looked at the Japanese-language original (via Artur – The Library of Ohara on YouTube). It becomes clear that the original could hint at two meanings:
- Among the people with a “D.” in their name, there may be one person who works against all the others. So far, Blackbeard seems to be the only one whose goals do not align with the others.
- There could be a power, force, or something similar that resides within the bodies of the individuals. The Japanese “naka” can also mean “within,” which may not only be meant figuratively.
Following this is the syllable “mo,” before the transmission ends. This syllable alone translates to “also.” This could mean that there is within the D. group a person who has something in common with something from Vegapunk’s presentation.
Alternatively, the “mo” could be the beginning of another word. X-user sandman_AP has compiled several suggestions that could be relevant:
What is the Will of D.? There are several families in One Piece that carry a D. in their name. They are related to the “Will of D.” They are the natural enemies of the world aristocrats and the world government. They have existed since the Ancient Kingdom and are supposed to be at the center of world-shaking events.
But what exactly the Will of D. is, we still do not know. It may have something to do with a revolution that will shake the order of the world. Unfortunately, Dr. Vegapunk could not reveal the secret any further.
