The goal of every pirate crew is to find the treasure of the same name in One Piece. Many pirate crews are racing for the treasure – but who actually has the best chances? MeinMMO tells you!
Attention, spoilers! The article is based on the status of manga chapter 1097.
At the beginning of One Piece, the chances for the Worst Generation and the four pirate emperors were particularly high. However, many of the pirate captains have either been eliminated or have switched to other pirate crews.
Our criteria for inclusion in the list are:
- The pirate crew has already appeared in the anime and manga of One Piece
- The captain of the pirate crew has not been killed/captured at this time
This excludes crews like those of Eustass Kid or Trafalgar Law. Also, Kaido and Big Mom are actually out due to the events in Wano Kuni. However, there is a fan theory that we do not want to withhold from you, which is why we have included it in our list.
We will outline which strong members each crew has and how likely they are to be the first pirate crew to find the One Piece.
1. The Straw Hat Crew (Captain: Monkey D. Luffy)
The best-known crew from One Piece is the Straw Hat Crew. From its founding to the current status after the temporary separation, we have experienced all of its adventures. So we know very well how strong the Straw Hat Crew is.
Currently, the pirate crew has ten members with varying combat powers. Some of the Straw Hat pirates survive through their cunning, while others rely on their sheer will to survive.
Since Luffy’s Devil Fruit has turned out to be the Human-Human Fruit, Model: Nika, the chances of finding the One Piece have increased. With the powers of the Devil Fruit, Luffy can nullify the laws of physics and prevail in all battles.

He also has a strong will and has wanted to find the legendary treasure since childhood. He is supported by his crew members, the strongest of whom haven’t even eaten a Devil Fruit.
The strength of Zoro, for example, lies in his combat ability, and Sanji benefits from his genetic modification.
But the Straw Hats impress not only with their combat strength: They already possess the knowledge of three Road Poneglyphs that reveal the location of the treasure. They only need information from one more Road Poneglyph. Therefore, the Straw Hat Crew has a great chance of finding the One Piece.
2. The Blackbeard Pirates (Captain: Marshall D. Teach)
The pirate captain Blackbeard is the only person in all of One Piece who possesses two Devil Fruit powers. On the one hand, Blackbeard has eaten the Dark-Dark Fruit, with which he can control darkness. This also allows Blackbeard to harm other Logia users who transform into elements like smoke, fire, or sand to evade.
On the other hand, he has taken the powers of Whitebeard. Thanks to the Quake-Quake Fruit, he can create tremors that can even travel through the air. As a result, he can cause land and sea quakes.
Through his actions and strength, Blackbeard has become one of the Four Pirate Emperors. But the rest of his crew, which has even more members than Luffy’s, cannot be underestimated. Devil Fruit users in his crew include:

- Wan Oger (Warp Fruit)
- Avalo Pizarro (Island Fruit)
- Catharina Devon (Dog Fruit, Model: Kyuubi)
- Sanjuan Wolf (Giant Fruit)
- Vasco Shot (Glug-Glug Fruit)
- Doc Q (Disease Fruit)
- Kuzan (Freezing Fruit)
- Stronger (Horse Fruit, Model: Pegasus)
Like Luffy, Blackbeard has had the desire to find the One Piece since the beginning. He developed a complex plan that included his time as a member of the Whitebeard Pirates. He even killed a crew member to obtain the Dark-Dark Fruit. He does everything possible to achieve his goal.
Blackbeard is also seeking information from the Road Poneglyphs. For example, he fought against Trafalgar Law to take his copy of the Poneglyph away from him.
Additionally, like Luffy, he has allies. One of Blackbeard’s allies is the Pinkbeard Pirates. Therefore, we currently believe that Blackbeard’s crew may be stronger than the Straw Hat Crew, but they might be lacking important information from the Road Poneglyphs.
