Players at bronze level are ranked among the worst players in Apex Legends. However, watching them is incredibly entertaining, as it leads to spectacular scenes that one would never see from professionals.
Who is the player? The reddit user Manascream posted a short clip of his victory in Apex Legends. He himself plays at the bronze I level, one of the lowest ranks of the ranked system in Apex Legends.
He is in the final showdown. Besides his own squad, there is only one other team left, and the ring is already quite tight, dealing significant damage. The fight takes place in the Sorting Factory on the new map World’s Edge.
Manascream plays Octane, the Legend from Season 1, along with Bloodhound and Wraith on his team. After a brief (and not very well-aimed) skirmish, he retreats into a house.
What is so spectacular? Right at the entrance of the door, he throws down a jump pad, Octane’s ultimate, and soon realizes that he can’t get out anymore. He comments on this with “I messed up.” However, this very “mistake” leads him to victory.
The opponents charge into the house one after another and are thrown into the ring by the jump pad. Here they take massive damage and Manascream takes them down. They have no escape either.
The last opponent does not notice that Manascream has a golden shield for reviving and dies in the ring.
Incredible scenes at low level
That’s what makes it so special: Bronze games are generally considered rather boring, as the “bronze noobs” gather here and good gameplay is rare to find. Viewers often prefer the epic plays of professionals like Shroud.
A scene like this with the jump pad would not occur in a match at a higher level. Players would either destroy the item, fight the opponents with grenades, or simply wait. Victory is assured with a bit of patience.
The clip from Manascream shows that even among the “worst players”, really good fights can happen – just at a different level and with a different entertainment factor.
