Payday 2, a well-known cooperative shooter on Steam, is currently on sale for just €1. Even almost 10 years after its release on the platform, the game still has numerous players.
What kind of game is Payday 2? In the game, you carry out criminal missions alone or in cooperative mode with up to three other people.
For example, you have to rob a bank or transport drugs. You do all this in first-person perspective, where it is up to you whether you prefer to act strategically and discreetly or shoot and use raw violence.
No heist is like the previous one: thanks to random events that can occur, the gameplay remains interesting and continuously challenges the players.
The further you advance in the game, the harder the missions you can accept – but they also become increasingly profitable. With the money, you can customize your characters and invest in better gear and weapons.

How successful is Payday 2 on Steam? On the analysis page SteamCharts, you can see the player numbers of the game. In the last 30 days, the average number of players was 34,398 (as of: 02.01.2023). Thus, the game can still boast a decent player count almost 10 years after its Steam release on August 13, 2013.
Even the player rating on Steam is overall very positive. Of the total 391,247 reviews, 89% are positive. Among the recent reviews published within the last 30 days, it is even 95% (as of: 02.01.2023).
In the reviews, players praise the concept of Payday 2 and still have a lot of fun with it years after the release. Especially in cooperative mode, the shooter impresses:
