The Holy Paladin from World of Warcraft is facing a new weekly server maintenance. One of the most popular classes of the MMORPG is now dealing less damage and healing fewer hit points with the update. However, despite the class being nerfed in many areas, the players are excited.
What exact changes will there be? Blizzard announced in the official forum what revisions will occur with today’s server maintenance. The changes to the healer class, which is also one of the most popular classes for you, include the following points:
- Each healing ability restores 8% fewer hit points
- Each damage ability deals 12% less damage
- The ability Tyr’s Deliverance heals even 15% less
- In PvP, the Holy Paladin regenerates 55% less mana (previously 25% less)
Especially the ability “Tyr’s Deliverance” actually provides an immense boost in healing. It heals five injured group members instantly and continues to heal another player each second for 20 seconds. Additionally, players are given a buff that ensures that other healing abilities of the Holy Paladin deal more healing.
If the changes do not appeal to you, the following MMORPG might be a possible alternative for you:
What does the community say about the changes? Despite the downgrade, many players are happy that the Holy Paladin will become a weaker healer. The nerfs are seen as more than fair, and the class has been “out of control” because it has dealt too much healing (via reddit.com).
One user finds, for example, that the nerf of Tyr’s Deliverance is not high enough. The problem is not the amount of hit points healed, but the timing of the passive healing. A larger time frame should be used here.
Another player agrees, stating that with his Holy Paladin, he was constantly focusing on “full health bars”, so he had no need to heal at all. That was not enjoyable for him, and he felt too powerful, which is why he is happy about the change.
However, players still have another concern. Many want the other classes to be buffed. In their opinion, the other healing classes do not deal enough healing, and they fear that the community may lose interest in playing healing classes as a result.
This situation even led to healers being kicked from groups because they were no longer needed. There is also the problem with DPS players who blame healers for dying. This also leads to frustration among healing classes, causing them to switch to other classes.
Some players are opposed to the changes, as they actually enjoyed playing the strong Paladin. They are sad that now the only healing class is being nerfed, which has provided sufficient healing in their eyes.
So we ask you: Do you think the changes to the Holy Paladin are good? What would you wish for the other healing classes?
