Ashes of Creation is considered a major hope among MMORPGs. Now, the MMORPG has introduced a new starting area and a new biome: The Anvils and the Junark biome.
The developers showcased the new content in a stream that was conducted on the occasion of the extension of the second Alpha phase of Ashes of Creation.
On one hand, they introduced a new starting area that will soon be added to the game. On the other hand, they showed impressions of the new jungle landscape that can already be explored in the second Alpha phase.
Developers Show New Dwarf Starting Area
What kind of starting area is this? Anvils is the new starting area that has now been introduced. It is the home of the Dünir. The Dünir are a dwarf race in Ashes of Creation and belong to the 9 playable races in Ashes of Creation.
Not surprisingly, the new starting area mostly consists of a massive mountain range where, according to the developers, “the craftsmanship of the dwarves has flourished for centuries.” Hence, the name of the area. Anvil means anvil in German.
What kind of biome is this? Additionally, there was new information about “The Turquoise Sea”: With the update, there will not only be new features like navigation and sailing, but also a completely new biome called the Jundark Jungle, which players can visit in Alpha 2.
In this new area, both dangers and opportunities await you. Among other things, there are supposed to be new dungeons that you can explore, which the developers claim are worth the effort. If you have an Alpha access, you can explore the area after the next update.
Originally, the third phase of Alpha Two of Ashes of Creation was set to start on May 1, 2025. It is now clear that this will not happen. The developers at Intrepid Studios have provided good reasons for the delay: One of the largest MMORPGs of the future is adjusting plans for Alpha so that you will have significantly more fun starting in August
