In Black Desert Mobile, a new update “To the Sea” is coming soon. In it, a large new ocean will be introduced that you can explore and discover. This will make the already beautiful and extensive game even prettier and larger.
What’s in the upcoming update? After the cool mermaid pirate class “Corsair” was introduced in July 2021, there is now new information about the associated ocean update “To the Sea”. According to the roadmap, this is also planned for the second half of 2021 and will make the already large and beautiful world of Black Desert Mobile even prettier and more expansive.
Because the new ocean can be freely explored and you can use special ships or dive into the depths of the ocean.
Ships, Sea Monsters, and New Currency to Grind
How do the ships work? To navigate the ocean, you need a ship. These are not small boats, but powerful sailing ships. The ships are necessary to cross the sea and explore the islands, which in turn reveal further parts of the world map. The ships are steered almost like real sailing ships, and you must consider the winds if you want to travel effectively.
However, sailing for too long damages your ships, and the ship’s stamina is only replenished once a week on Monday. If you want to use your ship more effectively, you need to increase a specific sailing skill that reduces the overall energy loss of the ships, allowing them to travel further each week.
What can you do in and on the ocean? You increase the sailing skill through typical tasks in the ocean, which include:
- Searching for treasures
- Exploring new areas
- Fishing
- Fighting sea monsters
Additionally, you can earn a new currency called “Oquilla Coins” and engage in trade.
