For a sternTV report, the Twitch streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris visited a primary school in Spandau and spoke out against bullying and mobile phone use in schools.
What does MontanaBlack warn against? The Twitch streamer considers the use of the internet by children to be dangerous. He stated in the sternTV interview (via YouTube): “There are many things on the internet that children should not see yet.”
MontanaBlack has been part of the Twitch scene for a long time. In our video, you can watch his first upload:

What does MontanaBlack recommend? MontanaBlack advises against allowing very young children unrestricted access to the internet. Children can own a mobile phone as part of a reward system if, according to MontanaBlack, they achieve good grades in school.
For him, it is clear that young children, aged 8 to 11 years, should only have a heavily monitored access to a smartphone.
This is his stance on a mobile phone ban in schools: MontanaBlack is especially critical of mobile phone use in schools. He believes that if a school has a violence problem, mobile phones pose an additional risk.
The worst thing that can happen to a 7-, 8-, 9-, 10-, or 11-year-old, or beyond, is to be bullied at school (…), that a video of it circulates on the internet, which will then be forever on the internet, because you can’t delete that. Just from that perspective, I think mobile phones should be banned in schools where children are still present.
Children should also focus on learning at school in the mornings rather than using their mobile phones.

How did the interview come about? In May 2024, a sternTV report was first filmed about the conflict mediator Damir Memic at the Christian-Morgenstern primary school. MontanaBlack reacted to the report in his Twitch stream and was impressed by Damir.
His reaction made waves, and MontanaBlack was able to visit the school mediator as part of another sternTV report. The interview was filmed afterward as well.
Even though MontanaBlack stands out positively in this context, the Twitch streamer is often not a good role model for his young audience. Recently, he explained in one of his streams that he intentionally drives 20 km/h over the speed limit: MontanaBlack says on Twitch that he always drives 20 km/h faster than allowed: That’s normal
