Steam lets you try out some games for free every weekend. This time, the popular MMORPG New World is included.
During the free weekend, you can now try New World for free until Monday, December 19th. Since it doesn’t offer a demo that can be downloaded for free, it’s a good opportunity to test the game.
If you decide to buy it after the test, you can continue playing with your account and game progress. So you don’t have to start over. Currently, New World is on sale for 19.99 euros on Steam.
New World wants to attract new players
With the event, the developers at Amazon Games are probably trying to lure new players into the MMORPG. Recently, this was a huge success with the Fresh Start servers – Now it continues with a free weekend.
They also released a new trailer that explains what New World is:
There are no restrictions while testing the game, except for the real money shop. You can’t make purchases in the shop while testing New World over the weekend.
Can I join any server? When you start the game, you need to choose one of the servers. It doesn’t matter whether you choose one of the recently launched Fresh Start servers or one of the older ones.
It’s important that the server is not marked as “full”, as you cannot join as a test player then.
