The survival game Rust is still very popular on Twitch. The hype revolved mainly around 2 servers run by and with streamers. This year, the 3rd season of the project “RUSTplatz” is starting and the community is full of excitement. All the previous info about the project is revealed to you by MeinMMO.
What kind of project is RUSTplatz?
- RUSTplatz emerged from the hype around the game in early 2021. Content creators from the USA set the trend with the survival game, after which Spanish creators also produced content about Rust.
- The waves reached Germany, where after disputes and discussions a fragmentation into 3 different major projects took place.
- In the end, however, the most successful, harmonious, and well-known was the RUSTplatz server, on which many famous personalities participated.
- Only selected streamers who were whitelisted were allowed on RUSTplatz. Role-playing and PvP took place there while players built their bases.
Season 3 of the most successful Rust project in Germany starts
Who is involved? The main organizers and server hosts are once again the Rocket Beans, Bonjwa, and Dhalucard. Which streamers, besides themselves, are allowed to participate has not yet been announced.
However, maexdaemaege posted in the forum of the Rocket Beans that they want to continue with the principle of the previous seasons: There will be a whitelist, and only people who the organizers already know or can vouch for will be allowed to participate.
So you might be able to expect familiar faces like JenNyan, PietSmiet, or AnniTheDuck again. There were over 112 players in the last season of RUSTplatz.
When does Season 3 of RUSTplatz start? It is supposed to kick off this March. A specific date has not yet been mentioned, only an official trailer on Twitter confirmed this.
What rules were there on the server? Besides the whitelist and that you had to be a streamer to participate in the project, the server was also online daily only from 7 PM to 1 AM.
Additionally, players were not allowed to kill other players just for fun, but only after prior role-play and if it made sense. This rule did not apply if you were in the designated “Kill on Sight” zones.
Finally, the text chat was disabled, and you could only communicate in-game via voice chat.
It is expected that approximately these rules will come into force again, as they worked well last time and provided entertainment for the community.
