It remains to be seen whether the newcomers can keep up with or perhaps even surpass the veterans of the MMORPG.
Final Fantasy XIV: Player defeats new raid boss solo as warrior – “Please delete that”
The well-known e-sports organization Team Liquid has announced that they want to enter the raiding scene of MMORPGs World of Warcraft and Final Fantasy XIV. For this, they are taking in the raiding guild Limit, which has achieved the World First Kills of Castle Nathria and Ny’alotha.
It has been announced: In a statement on their site, the international Team Liquid has announced that they will take in the WoW guild Limit to kick off their MMORPG raiding. This is one of the largest contracts in the nearly 22-year history of Liquid.
The inclusion of the well-known WoW guild Limit is set to become a new pillar of the e-sports team, paving the way into the world of MMORPGs.

Statement from Team Liquid
The first race for World First under the banner of Liquid will be fought by the WoW guild with Patch 9.2. For this, 35 or more members of the guild will be gathered at one location, where they will be accompanied by an all-round broadcast.
With the takeover by Liquid, the guild Limit has also shed its name and is now simply known as Liquid. Its guild members now also carry the prefix Liquid, as is common in e-sports (Liquid Maximum, etc.). They are led by Liquid MMO General Manager Azorea.
This is Limit: The guild became the first US team in 2021 to achieve a World First Kill on the final boss raid. Since then, they have been among the best raiding guilds in World of Warcraft and have also managed to down bosses in the first raid of Shadowlands, Castle Nathria.
In December 2021, Limit separated from its parent company Complexity, with whom they had been partnered since 2019. The reason for this seems to be the takeover by Team Liquid (via dotesports).
While Limit has a long history and much experience in WoW, they are relatively new to the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV, which Liquid is also set to tackle.
In the summer of 2021, during the great streamer wave in FFXIV, the raiders from Limit also tried their hand at the battles of the MMORPG from Square Enix. Under the leadership of (then) Limit Maximum, a group of WoW raiders played through Eden Epic.
Limit also participated in the brief World First Race of the recently released Pandaemonium raids. However, the participation was rather for fun, as even though the team led by Maximum managed to defeat all 4 encounters relatively quickly, they based their strategies and solutions to the mechanics on the streams of other prog raiders.
Now it seems that the endeavor for World First in FFXIV is becoming serious. The next big progress raid will be Thordan Ultimate. The Ultimate titles are particularly coveted because they belong to the absolutely hardest content that FFXIV has to offer.
It remains to be seen whether the newcomers can keep up with or perhaps even surpass the veterans of the MMORPG.
