The Luxembourgish Twitch streamer LetsHugo recently came into focus of the broadcaster RTL in his home country, which published a small documentary about him. In the interview, he spoke among other things about his monthly income and provided interesting insights into his life as a successful content creator.
Who is LetsHugo? LetsHugo, whose real name is Hugo, is a 20-year-old streamer from Luxembourg who speaks High German in his streams. This allowed him to expand his audience far beyond the borders of his home country and he is among the 50 most-watched streamers on the German Twitch (via SullyGnome).
Even in his youth, he developed a passion for video games and later started streaming. In July 2019, Hugo decided to significantly increase his presence on Twitch. His big breakthrough came in March 2023, when he appeared as a participant in the “No Food Challenge” of his Twitch colleague Maximilian “Trymacs” Stemmler.

Streamer reveals when a month is considered “good”
What does the streamer say about his income? In the now-released documentary, RTL estimated LetsHugo’s monthly income at 20,000 to 40,000 euros. The streamer tempered these figures and emphasized that they might apply in “good months,” which, for example, January 2024, is not the case.
“More? No, no, no. I mean, this month will definitely be less than 20k,” LetsHugo explained. At the same time, he added somewhat jokingly: “To be on top, you also have to touch the ground again. To jump off”.
LetsHugo’s remarks sparked controversial reactions in the chat as the streamer watched the documentary with his fans.
Some viewers expressed outrage about his income and compared it to their own standard of living. Comments such as “He earns more than my whole family combined” or “You earn more than ten times what I do” became more frequent.
In particular, the fact that the streamer seems to only consider a month “good” if he earns more than 20,000 euros appears difficult for the viewers to grasp.

What goals does the streamer have? Although LetsHugo emphasized that he did not receive any money for the interview, he hinted that he is always looking for new opportunities to increase his success. In the documentary, he was even compared to the famous American YouTuber MrBeast.
Despite his success, LetsHugo continues to strive for more. He explained in the interview with RTL that he wants to rise not only in Luxembourg but also in Germany. His goal is to “climb into the top 5, top 4, top 3, top 2, and finally to number 1”.
As early as November 2023, LetsHugo made headlines, when he reacted in a clip to a reality TV show in which a participant considered 1,500 euros to be a lot of money. LetsHugo dryly commented: “One stream”.
