One of the best weapons from Gambit returns in the new update to Destiny 2 – Here’s what you need to do to get Neckbreaker

The top weapon “Neck Breaker” is back in the game with the latest update for Destiny 2. You’ll find out what the weapon can do and how to get it here.

What can the weapon do? The automatic rifle with the telling name “Neck Breaker” was originally introduced with Season 5. It is considered to be very precise and conveniently comes at the maximum upgrade level of 10 as a masterpiece weapon.

The two main perks:

• Fury – Kills with this weapon temporarily deal increased damage. Stackable 3 times
• Onslaught – Stacking Fury increases the weapon’s rate of fire

Neck Breaker was removed from the game shortly after Season 5. Now, with the update “Season of the Wish,” the weapon makes its return.

You can get Neck Breaker much easier in 2023 than before

How do you get Neck Breaker? Unlike Season 5, the weapon is now much easier to obtain. Specifically, through earning engrams. There’s neither a quest nor hours of grinding needed. That was different in Season 5.

Back then, the weapon was tied to the Gambit mode. Specifically, you had to complete 40 Gambit matches. Additionally, you needed to achieve 500 automatic rifle kills, complete 100 automatic rifle multi-kills, and defeat 150 challenging enemies.

Since the introduction of Gambit with the DLC expansion “Forsaken,” two teams of four players compete against each other in separate arenas. The team that first collects the required number of particles (dropped by defeated PVE enemies) to summon and defeat the final boss wins the round.

Is the weapon worth it? The fact that Neck Breaker deals more damage after kills and also gets faster with each kill makes the weapon a real DPS monster.

Season 23 also introduces a new, crazy weapon type.

The YouTuber Datto (via youtube) came to the conclusion after extensive testing that Neck Breaker is especially well-suited for PVE. While the weapon quickly decimates smaller groups of enemies, its effectiveness decreases at longer ranges. In PVP, however, you shouldn’t expect any great miracles.
