Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has a lot of silly weapons. The latest piece of evidence: a legendary kitchen device that can save your life.
What kind of weapon is it? In Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, players can find the “Frying Pan”. And the name says it all: it is indeed a more or less normal, albeit somewhat battered and overly used frying pan.
The “Frying Pan” is a melee weapon that you can equip your character with. And while the thing can certainly deal damage with hearty blows to your enemies, it is rather the defensive attributes that are in focus here.
In the Wonderlands subreddit, some players have already found and shared the weapon:
What makes the Frying Pan so interesting in Wonderlands?
The Frying Pan brings the following effects:
- While performing melee attacks, there is a 90% chance to reflect incoming bullets. At the same time, there is a 15% chance if you just have it equipped but are not holding it in your hand.
- Furthermore, it reduces damage from bullets and projectiles from behind by 90% while you have it equipped but are not holding it in your hand.
This means: If you just have the Frying Pan with you, you can enjoy a good chance that sneaky enemies who want to attack you from behind will only deal a fraction of the damage.
If you actively use the pan, you can even catapult enemy fire back to the sender.
In short: The pan, which is actually not a shield, is one of the most effective shields in the game. And yes: This is probably a reference to the legendary frying pan from PUBG. Overall, frying pans seem to be a thing in games.
The description text “I think I’m getting the hang of this” is a quote from Sam in “The Lord of the Rings” films. He said this line in the Mines of Moria – when he was also attacking the local orcs with a frying pan.
This means the Frying Pan joins a chain of unusual weapons that are actually useful – like, for example, the Bread Cannon or the top weapon “Liquid Cooling”.
Where can you find the Frying Pan? There is a chance to get the pan from the mini-boss Master Tonhammer. However, it can primarily be found as a world drop – and thus completely randomly.
It may be worth diligently collecting the loot cubes in the game. Because this increases the chances of rare spawns and could also bring you a little closer to the Frying Pan.
However, you should not specifically look for a certain other legendary weapon in Wonderlands. That one can really only do something once.
