Ni No Kuni is a well-known and popular Japanese role-playing game. In summer 2022, Cross Worlds, an MMORPG set in this universe, will be released. You can play it on PC, Android, and iOS. You can now pre-register.
What kind of game is this? Ni No Kuni: Cross Worlds is an Anime MMORPG that connects two worlds. The story revolves around you diving into a virtual reality called Soul Divers with your character. There, you learn about a danger that threatens both worlds – the virtual world and the real world in the game.
- At the beginning, you can choose from five different characters: Witch, Swordfighter, Archer, Technician, and Destroyer. The basic body type of the character is predetermined, but you can customize details like hairstyle and skin color.
- With your character, you explore a colorful anime world.
- You can expect action battles where you must aim at your enemies.
- You fulfill quests and encounter boss monsters in the open world.
- There are dungeons that you can explore together with other players.
- You join your guild in a kingdom that you must protect from attacks by other players, while also being able to attack other kingdoms. The best kingdom is meant to control the capital and set specific rules there.
Especially the graphics are praised by many testers and in comments on YouTube.
When will the game be released? The global release is planned for summer 2022. Primarily, it will be available for mobile devices, but you can also play it on PC.

How do I pre-register? Those interested in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds can now register on the website (via Netmarble). As a reward for pre-registration, you receive a special explorer outfit.
Additionally, you will receive a hat and a special title if you join the game’s Discord channel.
What does the monetization look like? The MMORPG will be free to play, but it relies on a gacha system like Genshin Impact. With this, it generated 101 million euros in revenue 11 days after release – and that was only in Asian countries. The global release is still to come.
Is there auto-play? Yes. You can automatically walk to quest objectives. It’s currently unclear whether there are also auto-battles. This cannot be directly deduced from the gameplay of Steparu and other YouTubers.
Is there crossplay? Yes, PC and mobile players will share adventures in the game world. It’s still a bit unclear how the PC version will be released. It may require downloading an emulator.
Will Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds be available in German? Yes. You can already find all information and even virtual interviews with the five different classes on the website in German.
