In one of the best co-op games on Steam, you have to fling your teammates through the levels and it currently only costs €4.
What kind of game is this? Heave Ho (PC) is a co-op game from the indie developer studio “Le Cartel Studios”. The title, released back in 2019, can be experienced with up to four players in couch co-op and is playable on PC via Steam and on Nintendo Switch.
What kind of offer is this? Heave Ho is currently 60% off on Steam and costs only €3.90 instead of €9.75 until February 19, 2023.
What is the game about? In Heave Ho, you have to overcome various levels with your teammates and show coordination.
The playable characters consist of round bodies with long arms and comparatively large hands. Each level has a goal that you must reach as well as objects that you can grab with your long arms.
To reach the respective goal, you hold your teammates by the hands and form a sort of chain. One end of this chain holds onto the objects on the map, while the other end hangs in the air. In this position, you gain momentum and fling yourselves from object to object until you successfully land in the target area.
In Heave Ho, a lot of coordination and communication is required, because if you fall into the abyss or touch an obstacle, you find yourself back at the starting point. But it is precisely in those moments when communication fails and an attempt fails spectacularly that Heave Ho is the most fun.

Is there a way to play Heave Ho online? Yes! Although Heave Ho does not have an internal multiplayer, the game can be played online via Steam’s Remote Play with friends. This also has the advantage that not every player has to own the game. Only the host needs a copy of the title.
Additionally, the developers of Heave Ho stated on Twitter that the game also runs with the third-party application Parsec. The program is intended to allow couch co-op games like Heave Ho to be streamed and played on a friend’s system via a link, similar to how Steam’s Remote Play works.
Players have a lot of fun playing Heave Ho with friends
How good is Heave Ho? Heave Ho is extremely well received on Steam. A strong 92% of just over 1,500 reviews are positive. The party game is extensively praised by users:
- instasiv via Steam: “When my wife, a non-gamer, plays this game and laughs so much that she cries and begs to play it again, I know it’s a good game.”
- DoubleDingus via Steam: “Wild couch co-op game to play with friends. It requires a high level of coordination and curiosity to play with physics. We had to laugh so hard during many matches. It’s more funny than frustrating.”
- Psychoholiker via Steam: “Cool game, it’s so much fun!”
- Brain Storm via Steam: “It’s not much fun alone unless you force yourself to play as quickly as possible and take unnecessary risks. With 2–4 people, it’s totally funny. Your hands will cramp because you’re probably pressing the buttons on your controller too hard.”
As with any game, there are also some criticism points with Heave Ho, but they are not very disturbing. Some players write that it is not fun alone or without friends. Since Heave Ho is a couch co-op game, it should be clear that it is primarily aimed at co-op gameplay.
Another criticism point is the standard price of €9.75. If that is too expensive, you save 60% with the offer. However, the biggest criticism is the lack of an internal online mode, as some players wish they could also play the game online with their friends.
If you are satisfied with Steam’s Remote Play or the third-party application Parsec, you can also experience Heave Ho online with friends.
By the way, Heave Ho is also one of 7 games on Steam that you can play with your family
