In recent reviews, Vermintide 2 has a rating of 80% on Steam, making it “very positive” (as of October 26). The last sale in November brought together over 100,000 players.

Vermintide 2 is most enjoyable when you can play it together with friends. It’s ideal if everyone has a similar level of knowledge so that no one gets overwhelmed or under-challenged, and you learn together. It’s almost impossible to make yourself “worse” in Vermintide 2.
However, the game is primarily aimed at players with a high tolerance for frustration. A single mistake can cause your entire group to be wiped out, even on low difficulty levels.

If you’re not that into the fantasy setting, you can also play the sequel Warhammer 40,000: Darktide. There, you play in a grim future and can even create your own character in one of four classes.
