In ARC Raiders, many players are not interested in PvP and signal during encounters with other players that they are peaceful and that their counterpart should not shoot. A statistic from Steam now shows how many peaceful Raiders there really are in the shooter.
Where do the numbers come from? From Steam, specifically the achievements that you receive on the gaming platform for completing certain challenges or reaching special milestones in the respective games.
As colleagues from the English-speaking magazine PCGamer noted, only 42.7% of all ARC Raiders players on Steam have received an achievement called “Unyielding”, which you get for taking down 10 Raiders. This means: Almost half of the Steam players of the shooter are avoiding PvP and have hardly participated in fights with other players so far.
The peaceful approach of many Raiders is made even clearer by another achievement: The achievement “Crossed the Line” is awarded to players who have taken down a single Raider. However, only 81.3% of all Raiders on Steam have this.
According to this, nearly one-fifth of the players have never shot another player in ARC Raiders.
Looting and leveling peacefully instead of fighting each other
Why do players avoid PvP? ARC Raiders is also fun for many players as a PvE extraction shooter. Every player probably has their own reasons for this, but one thing is common to nearly every Raider: they all want to loot and level up.
Many players emphasize on social networks that they just want to complete their quests and farm materials or better gear. They are not interested in stressful PvP battles. Especially in solo lobbies, you will encounter many players who do not immediately open fire and instead signal a hopeful “Do not shoot” through the emote wheel.
Within the community, a grouping of players has formed who play ARC Raiders as a PvE shooter and even help foreign Raiders against particularly dangerous opponents.
One of the achievements that has been achieved quite rarely is called “Legend of Speranza” and requires players to reach the current max level of 75. So far, only 0.8% of players on Steam have succeeded in this.
