As soon as you enter a new location in Once Human, you receive the task to explore it. For this, you need to find certain crates among other things. Where you can find all the crates in Brookham is explained here.
Where is Brookham? Brookham is a location in Once Human that you can find in the first area, the “Dayton Meadows”. The recommended level for this is 8. When you enter the location, you will receive the task “Explore Brookham”. This includes 4 parts:
- Search for a Mysterious Crate (0/1)
- Activate the Rift Anchor (0/1)
- Defeat normal enemies (0/6)
- Find weapon and equipment crates (0/2)
As in all locations in Once Human, you will encounter numerous enemies there. In front of the church, you also have to expect a larger opponent. Watch out for the glowing spots on its legs to deal as much damage as possible.

Mysterious Crate
To find the mysterious crate, head to the church in Brookham. You can’t really miss it. Just walk straight to the back part of the church towards the crate. Mysterious crates contain useful materials and blueprint fragments.
Weapon Crate
The weapon crate is located in the church tower. To get there, head to the side of the church where the cemetery is. There you will find several ladders you can climb. Walk over the roof and jump into the tower, and you will see the weapon crate. It contains ammunition, tactical items, and equipment mods, among other things.
Equipment Crate
For the equipment crate, head to the part of the settlement where several houses are lined up. Go between two houses where there are planks towards the water. On the wooden floor outside the house, you will find an equipment crate. It contains, among other things, ammunition and equipment mods.
How do I activate the Rift Anchor? The Rift Anchor is marked on the map with a gray semicircle symbol. In Brookham, the Rift Anchor is located in a parking lot. When you interact with the yellow device that shoots a pink beam into the sky, you activate the anchor. This completes your exploration in Brookham.
