What is Acid? Acid, or “Säure”, is one of the most important resources in Once Human. If you want to craft items, you need it very often, especially when it comes to making ammunition. Especially in the endgame, it will be important to have large supplies of it.
If you want to farm acid in the game, there are different places to do so. We will show you where you can find the best locations on the map. After that, we will introduce you to a method of obtaining acid passively.
Farming Acid – All Locations on the Map
Where can you find Acid? The resource is dropped by defeated enemies. So it makes sense to roam suitable locations, defeat enemies, and preferably collect their loot. We will show you where this works best.
Brookham
This town is one of the areas you will visit relatively early on. The advantage is that the enemies are quite weak and are around level 8. Killing them should therefore not be a major problem. If you are at a higher level, it will be even easier.
You can find Brookham at this point on the map:
Look for groups of enemies, kill them, and run in circles. If you are lucky, they will drop enough acid. Once you’ve completed your round, start over. You will farm approximately 60-200 pieces of acid per hour at this location.
Highbank
There are again many buildings full of enemies at this location. In addition, you will find chests full of loot here. Also keep an eye out for larger groups of enemies, especially in the market area. The more enemies you can defeat in a short time, the more acid you will obtain in the long run. This makes farming less annoying and time-consuming.
The enemies in Highbank are around level 14. If you are still too weak for this, come back later. At this location, you will farm 80-200 acid per hour.
Holtown
If you are already a bit higher leveled, you can venture into Holtown. The enemies here are stronger, around level 30, but the yield is also higher at 200-300 acid per hour. Holtown is not very large, still there are many enemies here.
Securement Silo – Theta
This last location on our list is only for players in the endgame. The enemies are around level 45, and therefore you should also run here with endgame weapons and gear. The good thing is that there are many enemies clustered together. If your run goes well, you can farm 20-30 pieces of acid per attempt.
Farming Acid Passively – Here’s How
There is another method to obtain acid. This works even when you are not playing and are logged out. You receive the resource passively, so to speak.
However, to use this method, you will need items that you will only obtain later in the game – if you are still at the beginning, you should rather search the spots mentioned above.
How do you farm passively? First, you need a base near a contaminated zone. For example, near a body of water from which contaminated water can be extracted with water pumps. You can also build bases with friends – read on MeinMMO how that works.
To use the contaminated water, get one or more water filters that separate the acid contained in the water. You now have impure acid. If you combine it in a brewing barrel with purified water, you will receive the end product, acid. All of this takes time and can happen during your absence.
