In Once Human on Steam, there are various servers with different scenarios that function like seasons. Players are now unsure whether they can keep the progress of their character from the scenarios. Therefore, we will explain how the server resets work.
How do scenarios work? In Once Human, there are different servers, and each server has a seasonal scenario. With these scenarios, the developers aim to bring fresh content to PvE and PvP every 6 weeks.
Each scenario offers various innovations that players can test on a new server. However, since fans have to switch servers for a new scenario, it was initially unclear what players could retain from the previous server.
The developers have now clarified this and listed what you can take with your character to a new server in Once Human.
Once Human: What you can keep at the end of a scenario
What can you always keep? Due to the confusion, the developers wrote a blog post on Steam, in which they went into more detail about the server resets. The following items and progress can be retained when switching servers:
- Important currencies: Starchroms, Crystgins, Mitsuko’s Marks, Stellar Planula, and Sproutlets
- Blueprints of your equipment (and their stars), fragments of blueprints, accessories for your weapons, and mods
- Blueprints of furniture (except for those received from the Memetics)
- Cosmetic items, emotes, and poses, name tags, and more
- Blueprints of your houses: If you have saved your building in a blueprint, you can reconstruct it at any time.
- Progress of the quests in the main and side story (for the quests you have already completed, you can accept simplified versions in the new season, but still receive all rewards).
- Your friend list
What can you partially keep? Some items can only be partially taken into a new scenario. These include:
- Ammunition
- Medicine
- Materials
Not all, but some unnamed items can be taken along to progress through the season faster. The things you cannot keep will end up in Eternaland, a place where you can let your creativity run free.
What else do I need to know about a new season? If you want to start fresh in a new scenario, your character will be reset to level 1 and the world map will be obscured again. The developers want every player to start from scratch when a “server reset” occurs so that everyone goes through the same experience.
