In Once Human on Steam, you can not only have fun surviving with your friends but also with companions. With the so-called mutations, life becomes easier. We’ll explain the benefits of the companions and reveal the locations of the mutations.
What are mutations? Mutations, also called deviations, are small alien-like creatures that you can choose as companions, giving you an advantage in the game. The exact advantage depends on the particular mutation. Each mutation belongs to a higher category but also brings its own individual abilities.
How mutations work
Which mutations can do what? Mutations are divided into three categories:
- Combat
- Territory
- Technology
Combat mutations receive commands from you and assist you in battle. Territory and technology mutations help you collect and process resources. The furniture mutations can assist you in building furniture.
You can collect as many mutations as you want and swap them out at will when you need a different type. This way, you are not stuck with just one mutation forever.

It also depends on what you are currently planning in the game. If you are building only in your base, you will currently only need territory and technology muthttps://mein-mmo.de/en/once-human-creating-a-hive-all-about-its-features-and-benefits,1150033/”>Hives.
