In Pokémon GO, the monster for the next Community Day has been announced. This is not exactly causing leaps of joy in the community.
What kind of event is this? The Community Day is an event where one Pokémon is in the spotlight and appears in very high numbers with an increased shiny chance for 3 hours. Strong bonuses and an exclusive attack are also common at these events.
After the date of the next Community Day, May 11, 2025, was already known, the corresponding Pokémon has now also been teased. However, the community is not thrilled.
Less walking, more evolving
Which Pokémon is it? The star of the next Community Day will be Pamo, as seen in a teaser on X. The monster is from Generation 9 and is of the Electric type. It can evolve into Pamamo and then into Pamomamo.
However, if you want to evolve your Pamamo into Pamomamo, you must first meet a requirement. You need to take Pamamo as your buddy and walk 25 km with the Pokémon. This could be adjusted for the duration of the Community Day.
According to current information, during the event you will only need to walk 1 km with Pamamo to evolve it into Pamomamo. A change in the evolution requirements has also occurred in the past for other C-Days, for example during the Community Day with Menki, where the requirement for the evolution from Rasaff to Epitaff was adjusted.
If you haven’t developed a Pamomamo yet, this event could be the perfect opportunity to catch the monster.
How is the monster received in the community? In the announcement of the event, the supposed exclusive move of the monster, the charge move Breakthrough, was leaked. However, both this and the Pokémon itself are not well-received in the community.
