On Netflix, you can watch the huge sci-fi production from China “The Wandering Earth“ or “Die wandernde Erde.” In the film, humanity must take drastic measures to escape extinction by the sun and ends up directly in the next catastrophe.
The Wandering Earth is a Chinese Netflix production that was released in 2019. It is described as the largest sci-fi film from China to date (via The Verge) and was considered one of the most successful sci-fi blockbusters internationally that year (via Moviepilot).

What is The Wandering Earth about? The sun is about to become a “Red Giant” and thus destroy the Earth and all its inhabitants.
Humanity is fighting against the impending extinction by attaching gigantic rocket engines to their home planet to escape into the vastness of space and search for a safe new home.
However, on their journey, the Earth gets too close to the planet Jupiter, and the next catastrophe is on the horizon. The fate of humanity now lies in the hands of a group of engineers and astronauts.

The story of The Wandering Earth is based on a collection of short stories by Liu Cixin, who is internationally known for the acclaimed book trilogy The Three-Body Problem (in German: Die drei Sonnen).
Also, The Three-Body Problem is being adapted into a film and is expected to appear as a series on Netflix in 2024. Actor Liam Cunningham is also involved and has already expressed enthusiasm for the script:
