In Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, the new map Nuketown ’84 has a nasty glitch that causes unfair kills. The dilemma is based on an old trick that was already usable in previous Nuketown maps.
What kind of trick is it? The new map Nuketown from the Cold War Multiplayer is now the 8th version of the map that has appeared in numerous CoD games.
In some of these maps from the past, there was a trick that allowed you to drive the scorestreak of the remote-controlled car (RC-XD) through hidden paths on a small race track around the map into the enemy spawn area. A user on reddit shows it here:
However, the current Nuketown-84 map still allows players to follow a form of this path, which clearly should not be in the developers’ intentions.
Old trick becomes game-threatening glitch
This is what the glitch does: According to Dexerto, their staff have found a way to glitch through the edge of the map. From there, you can apparently directly enter the enemies’ starting area and easily farm kills there. By the time the enemy reacts, you may have gained a valuable advantage.
However, we will not explain how the glitch works here. Please do not exploit such unfair advantages, as it is not fair to your opponents and may even lead to a ban. In the near future, you should be a bit more cautious at the outer spawn points and watch out for unwanted guests from the neighborhood.
The developers hopefully will fix this severe glitch soon with a hotfix. Then maybe a bug on another map will also become a thing of the past. Because in the Moscow map in CoD Cold War there are deadly windows where you can get hopelessly stuck. Then only death can free you from this dire situation.
