The “World First” race in World of Warcraft is underway and the American guild Limit is leading. Thanks to their advance, they are already halfway through the raid.
In Europe, the WoW realms have only been online for a few hours, but the American players had a few hours lead and have made the most of it. Even before the European players were able to join the Raid Ny’alotha, Limit had already built up a solid lead. But the chase in the “World First” race is on, and European guilds like Method and Pieces are defeating one boss after another.
These 7 bosses have already been downed by Complexity-Limit: The American raiders have made good use of their time and have already defeated more than half of all bosses in Ny’alotha. The following have fallen:
- Furorion
- Ma’ut
- Prophet Skitra
- Xanesh
- The Hive Mind
- Shad’har
- Vexiona
Next, Limit will likely attempt to take on Ra-den, after they have had their recovery sleep.

What are the Europeans doing? Since the realms in Europe have gone online, the professional guilds are also storming Ny’alotha here. Currently (11:00 AM), Method is fighting Shad’har and has already defeated Furorion, Ma’ut, and Skitra – the three bosses are now available in LFR as well.
It is expected that Shad’har will also fall in the next hour, and Method will then turn to the more difficult bosses.
Somewhat surprisingly, the guild Pieces is currently in the lead in Europe. They have already forced 5/12 bosses and are even ahead of the favorite Method.

Is this a fair race? For many years, it has been criticized from all sides that the race for the “World First Kill” in WoW is not really perfect. Under optimal conditions, all realms would start at the same time in all regions, so there would be no time advantage.
However, the advantage is not completely one-sided for the American guilds either. As they often encounter the bosses as the first players in a “live environment”, the fights often resemble a beta test. Occasionally, small hotfixes from Blizzard are even implemented between pulls to better balance the fights. European guilds can benefit from this knowledge and the “test phase” as they can already access the information.
Also this time, Limit’s time advantage does not seem significant – after all, Method and Pieces are closely following the current leading players of Complexity-Limit.
What do you think about it? Do you think Method will still secure the victory? Or will the “World First Kill” this time go to Limit or another professional guild?
