He suspects that a bot manufacturer is behind the increase, wanting to make their accounts look “more real.” The bots follow the channels, so as not to be immediately recognized as bots. In this case, such an occurrence is not meant to support the channel but to expand bots.
Buying followers and viewers on Twitch is prohibited, but it’s a practice used to boost a channel. They are also used to specifically attack channels and report them for violating guidelines.
DerBehla added that his partner JackyUndSo was also contacted by a provider. She was asked during her live stream through a whisper message if she wanted to boost her stream.
