The German Twitch streamer Frederik “NoWay” Hinteregger is one of the leading streamers worldwide in League of Legends. As a former LoL pro, he knows the game and is very good at it. Now, he has created a tier list of all German Twitch streamers based on their gaming skill during his stream. Things got out of hand after just a few minutes. The Twitch chat and NoWay argued about how good the Minecraft streamer BastiGHG is.
How did the tier list come about?
- NoWay is currently streaming LoL from Mexico. He is there at the invitation of a local league.
- On May 28th, he was live on Twitch for 9 hours and created the tier list during breaks while waiting to join a new LoL match, actively engaging with his chat.
- A community member had created the template for him, and he ranked the streamers on the spot and by hand based on their gameplay skills. He was ruthless: even if one is among the world’s best in a major game, one barely qualifies for the A-tier.
NoWay ranks the gaming skill of Knossi as “Dogshit” without hesitation:
The best and worst streamers quickly become clear
So it began: The first two streamers he knighted in a first draft of the list as “GodTier” were the two German variety streamers: Dhalucard and Repaz. Dhalucard is always at the front in all events; Repaz simply deserves to be honored.
But he stumbled already with his first teammate: The LoL player Agurin, a jungler with whom NoWay plays in his team NNO, is among the best players in the world in LoL, but quite bad in shooters.
However, LoL is such a big game, and Agurin is so good that he actually belongs in the highest tier. NoWay resisted but ultimately placed Agurin in the A-tier, but behind Dhalucard and Repaz.
The question about the worst German streamers was easier: “Where is Knossi?” He and Fritz Meinecke immediately landed in the “Dogshit” tier.
A dispute arises with the 6th streamer
When did the ranking go off the rails? Already with the 6th streamer on the list, NoWay had a problem: The German streamer BastiGHG was seen by the chat as a world-class Minecraft streamer and should be at least in the A-tier, on the same level as Dhalucard and Repaz.
However, NoWay found no arguments to rank him that high. Minecraft is not that skill-based, as it involves a lot of knowledge. And the prize money that BastiGHG has won was only in Twitch Rivals tournaments – that doesn’t really count. He belongs at most in B-tier. NoWay isn’t letting anyone sway him.
You might as well stop with the list!
The Twitch chat complained:
- “If he’s B-tier, then you’re only B-tier too.”
- “If he’s B-tier, you might as well stop with the list.”
How did it turn out? 6 hours later, the tier list was finished and has since been actively discussed on X/Twitter .
Ultimately, it became a very strict tier list: No more streamers were added to the 3 top German streamers. Although NoWay says Sologesang also belongs in this category_ he is a “crazy” player.
NoWay has placed himself in B-tier, and BastiGHG has even slipped into C-tier.
Even NoWay admits: It’s already a “very high” list. Of course, everyone is actually great.
In the comments, it is said: The list contains so much explosive content that there should be warning signs for it.
The list also had some delicate moments:
What stands out in the list?
- Tolkin in C-rank is quite bold, he was probably the decisive player in the NNO run in 2022.
- The list is heavily LoL-oriented; that’s where NoWay excels. So, with Mahluna and HoneyPuu, two LoL players are high up among the female streamers. Only Fibii shows up so high as well.
- MontanaBlack in D-tier is also a bit bold – even though the streamer admits himself he is not known for his gaming skills. But well, at least ELoTRiX will be pleased that he ranks 2 tiers above him.
The number 1 for NoWay is Vadeal, a 19-year-old Fortnite player, who has about 2,000 viewers on Twitch. Our favorite among the top streamers on Twitch is not even listed by NoWay; he apparently doesn’t even know him: The best gamer among the top 20 German Twitch streamers exists outside the scene.
