The successful hack and slash Wolcen: Lords of Mayhem (PC) has received a new patch. However, what’s almost more interesting is that the developers now announce that there may be delays in further updates due to the Corona crisis.
What did the team have to announce? The Corona crisis does not stop at Wolcen Studios either. Therefore, the developers now have to continue working from home. However, it is not possible for everyone on the team to work from home, which affects the development of new updates for the action RPG Wolcen.
The health and safety of employees is very important to the company, which is why it is now naturally accepted that work on the game will progress more slowly than originally planned.
We remain committed to providing you with the best possible experience with Wolcen, and we will continue to do as much as possible, work on the next league, fix bugs, but the overall pace will inevitably slow down.

Wolcen fans need more patience
What does this mean for the action RPG? The developers already stated a few days ago that they want to focus on bug fixes and optimizations for the next four months before further content such as a new chapter for the game comes out.
As work is now progressing more slowly, this unfortunately means a delay in all areas. This means that upcoming updates will either be released later or with less content, causing this bug fixing and optimization phase to likely extend beyond the planned four months. Thus, we will also have to wait longer for new content.
What do players think about this? Opinions are divided. For the most part, however, there is understanding for the situation.
- Hoverboy writes about Steam: “Thanks for the update! At the end of the day, you provide entertainment. Health and safety should take precedence over entertainment. Please take care of yourselves and thank you for your hard work!”
- Others like Irrelevant show less understanding: “Oh boy. Time to uninstall Wolcen. You just don’t understand the core issues with your game; you’re only trying to patch it here and there with some fixes without addressing the actual important things.”
A new patch is also available
What does the new patch bring? Update 1.0.10 fixes a lot of bugs and also improves the UI and interaction in the jeweler’s inventory. Additionally, Wolcen should no longer crash as often. Balancing adjustments to skills are also included again. “Rage from Hits” will now also no longer be triggered by damage over time. You can find the complete patch notes on Steam.
