In Destiny 2 Forsaken, certain triumphs cause frustration. Not every Guardian has the opportunity to complete all triumphs.
Here is the problem: One of the biggest annoyances in the days following the Forsaken launch is the triumph “Limited Edition”. In the reddit forum, one user is incredulous that Bungie could introduce such a triumph. Because it prevents many players from completing their progress completely.
Over 8000 users agree with him – and this is just one of many complaint posts about it.
What are triumphs? Triumphs are specific achievements in Forsaken, set by Bungie, which can be optionally completed for rewards.
Thousands of Guardians are complaining about the triumph “Limited Edition”
What is “Limited Edition”? For this triumph, it is necessary to own the Limited Edition of Destiny 2. This costs over 100 euros (currently 140 euros on Amazon, without Forsaken). The edition includes some collector’s items, such as a booklet about the Cabal Empire.
Why is this a problem? Those who do not own this edition cannot complete the triumphs in Destiny 2 Forsaken – which many triumph collectors find incomprehensible.
Limited Edition is even bugged – that’s what Bungie says
However, this restriction is not the only annoyance surrounding the Limited Edition. Many users write that the triumph is not unlocked for them, even though they own the Limited Edition.
This is what the fans say: Countless fans are now unanimously demanding that Bungie abolish this triumph. It is outrageous and practically forces any Guardian who wants 100% to make an additional purchase. Bungie should understand that this is important to many collectors.
This is what Bungie says: Community Manager Cozmo has already responded. He made three statements:
- They have noticed that some players are not getting the triumph, even though they own the Limited Edition. The team is currently looking into this.
- He has relayed the feedback that this triumph is not received well in the community.
- He emphasizes that this triumph adds 0 points to the total triumph points. Therefore, it is not crucial. Nevertheless, Cozmo will communicate what Bungie’s investigations yield as a result.
In response to the last statement, some players wrote that it’s not about the points. It’s about not being able to complete everything.
More annoying triumphs
You can find the “Limited Edition” triumph in the triumph overview under “Account”. Select “Triumph Moments” where the triumph is located on page 2.
This also annoys the Guardians: In this category of triumph moments, there are other triumphs that cannot be unlocked if you have not played Destiny 1 or Destiny 2 at certain times, such as
- participating in a Destiny 2 beta test
- or “Completing the Glass Chamber raid in Destiny 1”. This triumph can still be made up for, but it requires playing Destiny 1.
All these triumph moments do not contribute points to the total triumph points.
PS4 players favored?
Additionally, the PC and Xbox Guardians complain about the triumph “Submachine Gun Perfection”. This requires kills in the Crucible with submachine guns of all elements. However, only PS4 players have a submachine gun of the Void element, as this is temporarily PS4 exclusive.
Guardians on Xbox and PC must wait a year: This specific submachine gun will only become available on the other platforms in a year. Since players get 50 points for the triumph, it is currently frustrating for many that they cannot unlock it now.
According to Cozmo, this is also being investigated.
