Michael Keaton has played as a superhero or villain multiple times in his acting career. In the Spider-Man movies, he was an iconic villain who returned for another film, but he has no idea why he appeared in another Sony Marvel film.
Michael Keaton first appeared as Batman in the Tim Burton adaptations in a comic book movie. In Birdman, he played an actor trying to escape his typecasting as a hero. As Batman, he is so iconic that he is even provoked on the Oscar stage by his enemies.
In 2017, Spider-Man: Homecoming was released, in which the iconic actor portrayed the villain Vulture. Keaton, as the Vulture, also appears in another Sony Marvel film. In the end credit scene of Morbius, the Vulture meets the vampire, but he is not quite sure why. He revealed this in an interview.

Not even they could fully explain it
In an interview with Josh Horowitz on YouTube, Michael Keaton talks about many aspects of his career. At around 33:40, Horowitz asks the actor what that was all about regarding the cameo in Morbius and whether Keaton understood it.
He mentions in the interview that he had no plan about what it was supposed to be and that not even [the responsible parties] could fully explain it.
He explains that it was complicated, and while he understood what happened in the scene, he didn’t even know all the people.
In the film, at the end, the Vulture is teleported into the world of Morbius into a prison. However, since no one knows him, he has to be released. At the end of the credits, the Vulture meets Morbius in his well-known costume with the steel wings. As his last line, the Vulture simply states: But I think a few guys like us can do something good together.
This is a clear hint at the Sinister Six, who were a group of villains in the Spider-Man comics trying to defeat Spider-Man. Interestingly, many of them had already been together in the third Spider-Man film featuring Tom Holland.
Such end-credit scenes are meant to hint at future events or films. However, this doesn’t always work as well, as seen with Thanos and the Avengers. If you look at the box office and critic results of Madam Web or Morbius, you can see that success is not guaranteed. The situation is different when a certain actor is supposed to become the new big villain but is condemned in real life: Marvel removes the new supervillain who was supposed to replace Thanos
