Norman Reedus, known as Daryl Dixon in “The Walking Dead,” once recounted a strange experience where he was bitten by a fan.
Norman Reedus must be careful of the “biters” in his role as Daryl Dixon in the zombie series The Walking Dead. However, he also had a strange encounter with a fan in real life.
As the actor revealed on the American talk show Conan on TBS on March 12, 2020, a woman bit him during a photo shoot at a convention.

“She looked like a nice woman”
When Conan asked him what was one of the strangest experiences he ever had with his fans, Norman Reedus thought for a moment.
Apart from breast implants he had received as gifts, the star recalled an incident from a convention in 2015 in New Jersey.
A woman had purchased a photo with the actor, and at first, everything seemed normal. But then the situation changed, as Norman Reedus humorously described:
I was sitting there taking a photo, and she started trembling a little, and then she looked to the sky and howled like a werewolf.

Then the fan suddenly bit the actor in the chest, quite hard
even, as Norman Reedus recounted. She didn’t seriously injure him, but bite marks were visible on his skin.

Michael Rooker, who plays Daryl’s older brother Merle in the series, was also present when Norman Reedus was bitten. His reaction was to shout, “Oh, that didn’t just happen!”
The woman was immediately removed by the actor and escorted off the convention grounds by the police. However, outside she seemed unable to remember what had just happened.
The actor was then asked if he wanted to press charges against the woman. But Norman Reedus denied, stating: No, she just had a moment.’ She looked like a nice woman.

As RollingStone reports, the woman later commented on Instagram about her behavior and apologized:
“I finally met the love of my life and got banned from the rest of the convention, lost photo opportunities with him worth over 100 dollars because I lost my mind… I was so excited when I stood next to him… I just turned my head and bit him! I don’t know what came over me. I didn’t want to hurt him. I’m sorry, Norman!”
