Fortnite: Battle Royale has set a new record again. An almost unknown streamer has achieved 35 kills alone in duo mode.
What happened? French YouTuber Payamz simply jumped into Fortnite and entered as a solo player in duo mode.
Then he cleared out and slaughtered over a third of the competition. Thus, Payamz reached a whopping 35 kills and broke the previous record in this mode.
It could have been even more: This performance is extremely good, especially since Payamz admits that he fell asleep right at the start of the game. He missed the opportunity for three more kills.
But even with “only” 35 kills, Payamz significantly surpassed the previous record in duo mode, which was set by pro gamers Teeqzy and Xewer with 31 kills. The two are well-known professionals who have already participated in the big Skirmish tournament by Epic.
The new record holder is neither a pro nor famous
Who is Payamz? The real sensation of the new record is that the player Payamz was a true nobody until now. His YouTube channel had not even 1,000 subscribers.
Fortnite success leads to more viewers: This has, of course, changed by now. At the time of this article, over 1,000 people are already firmly on the channel of Payamz. There will surely be more in the near future.
Is a pro career on the horizon? Many players are now wondering when and which eSports team will approach Payamz soon. Because after his performance in the duo mode, it seems clear that the guy has talent.
But no matter how it turns out, the story once again shows how one can become a star in Fortnite with good performance, going from nobody to star. Perhaps Payamz will soon get a chance to participate in a big tournament where he could earn a lot of money with such performance.
He would not be the first amateur to earn a lot of money in such a tournament.
