The MMORPG “Noah’s Heart” will be officially playable from the end of July and makes a dream come true for fans of Sword Art Online: It creates a world that closely resembles that of the anime.
In late June 2020, the developers Archosaur Games announced the MMORPG and showed the first trailer. The beta launched in December 2021. From July 14, 2022, Android users can download the finished game, and from July 28, PC players can as well.
What kind of game is it? In this free-to-play fantasy MMORPG, you create a character and explore the planet Noah.
These are the features of the MMO:
- Detailed character creation
- Your character is not bound to a class
- You fight with sword and shield, bow, dual blades, or a spear, but you can switch
- An open world with five different continents
- Cooperation with real players or NPCs
How does it resemble SAO? At first glance, the world of Noah’s Heart seems to have much in common with that of SAO. Visually, the two games are comparable due to the colorful anime graphics in an open fantasy setting.
The story is similar as well. The virtual environment in Noah’s Heart was created by a mysterious construct called “Cube”. What exactly Cube intends and why it created this world can be discovered by players throughout the story. Like in the anime series SAO, the world of Noah’s Heart is “virtual”.
In 2020, the developers already released a trailer showcasing the gameplay of Noah’s Heart:
What other features does it offer?
- Additionally, Noah’s Heart allows numerous ways to navigate the game world. For example, through mounts, trains, ships, motorcycles, and helicopters.
- There are at least three crafting options: cooking, smithing, and tailoring
- Real-Life-Sim: The MMO emphasizes role-playing
- Within the story, you make decisions that actually have consequences. For instance, you can let NPCs die, and the story progresses completely differently for you than for your fellow players.
Who is the game suitable for? Fans of Sword Art Online will probably love Noah’s Heart. But even players who have not (yet) seen the anime might enjoy this MMORPG. Anyone who likes colorful graphics and anime style is definitely in the right place.
Also, MMO fans who value story should take a look at Noah’s Heart. The interactive narrative influenced by your decisions stands in contrast to many other games, where the story is rather secondary.
What do you think of Noah’s Heart? Do you like the colorful graphics, or do you prefer it a bit darker? Does it remind you of the anime Sword Art Online, or does it show too many differences? Will you download the MMORPG and give it a try? Feel free to let us know in the comments here on MeinMMO!
