In Destiny 2, issues for clans have arisen due to the postponement of the next expansion. However, Bungie does not want to take risks with a fix.
This is the situation: Tomorrow, on September 22, the long-awaited expansion Beyond Light was supposed to be released. However, it has been postponed to November 10, and the ongoing Season 11 has been extended by about 2 months.
These issues have now arisen: The postponement not only leads to a longer wait for new content but also bugs.
Especially frustrating for clans:
- Clans can no longer gain experience and level up
- The weekly challenge with Hawthorne can no longer be completed – this used to provide top loot and enhancement cores
In a live-service game like Destiny, things continue to happen behind the scenes. Such an unplanned extension has never occurred before.
Other aspects of the game are also affected by the postponement. For example, in the story: the great evacuation dramatically bids farewell to familiar characters, who will still be alive at their posts for another 2 months.
Bungie does not want to gamble with clan ranks in Destiny 2
This is what Bungie says about the clan issue: The Destiny developer has determined during the investigation of the issues that a solution is not being considered until Beyond Light is released.
According to Bungie, there’s a possibility that an intervention could reset the ranks of all clans – they do not want to take that risk.
Is it really that tragic? Under the Twitter post, many Guardians are quite upset about it. However, the problem may not be bad enough to justify the really nasty comments.
Other users are therefore defending Bungie, saying that the (although annoying) clan problems are not proportionate to the potential complete reset.
Man, I think that those complaining have not even read the whole tweet.

Of course, you can still play with your clan now. Only those who thought they had extra time to reach the maximum rank in Season 11 or to snag a bonus will now be disappointed.
What do you think? What problems could arise from the postponement? Do you think Xur will try to land on a vanished planet this fall?
By the way, you can take advantage of the extended time to engage in currently extra-rewarding raids. There, you can secure the rarest exotic in the whole game more easily than ever until November 10.
