Did you know that you can also play PvP in Diablo 4? Nevertheless, hardly anyone does, as statistics show, which were published by the developers Blizzard.
What are these statistics? On June 11, Blizzard briefly paused time and compiled current numbers from Diablo 4 for some interesting statistics.
Playtime, players defeated in PvE, hardcore players at level 100 – here are the numbers after 10 days of Diablo 4 (including Early Access):

- 276 million hours, more than 30,000 years
- Enemies defeated
- 276 billion
- Heroes killed
- 316 million
- Kills by the Butcher
- 5 million
- PvP kills

- Players on hardcore level 100

- Sorceress
Particularly the playtime is impressive. Recently, Blizzard also revealed how quickly Diablo 4 has sold: Within 5 days, it had a revenue of 666 million US dollars (via activisionblizzard.com).
In comparison, a blockbuster from the same company is ready: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 had the largest CoD release in history and achieved around 1 billion dollars in revenue after 10 days.
However, at least one figure in the statistics is somewhat disappointing: So far, only 430,000 players have been defeated in the fields of hatred, the PvP area of Diablo 4. Alone the nasty Butcher has already chopped up 10 times as many players into butcher-friendly pieces.
Why is PvP so unpopular? This can currently only be speculated.
One reason is certainly the somewhat unfair system with the world levels. Currently, one can ride into the PvP area at world level 1 with a high level and unleash one’s power fantasies without restriction. Blizzard is working on it, and a patch is supposed to come soon.
Additionally, Diablo 4 is more of a PvE game that offers much more content in the fight against NPCs. Some players don’t even think about going into PvP or simply haven’t had the chance yet.
