Tyler “Ninja” Blevins (33) is the streamer with the most followers on Twitch. In his 13-year streaming career, he has managed to avoid major scandals – apparently, he has a trick.
Which streamer is being referred to? Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is one of the most successful streamers on Twitch. The now 33-year-old became huge in 2018 with the hype around Fortnite and is still the streamer with the most followers on Twitch. In his many years on Twitch, he has also faced criticism:
- for his collaboration with an energy drink
- his supposedly overpriced streaming masterclass
- or his faked burnout, followed by a big comeback
In his now 13-year career as a streamer, Ninja has never had a career-destroying scandal, unlike many that seem to be proliferating currently: Friends and business partners of DrDisrespect have turned away, while €2.50 cost two German Twitch stars their careers.
In a recent stream, Ninja referred to the latest uproar regarding a team member of YouTube giant MrBeast and explained how he avoids such scandals himself.
Ninja flees when he is alone with a woman
What is Ninja’s trick? As the streamer explains, he simply never stays alone in a room with another woman besides his wife. Ninja even goes so far as to say that he spares no effort to avoid this situation.
“Even if it’s my PR person, it doesn’t matter. I don’t care if they work with me, whatever. There is always someone in the room with me.” If Ninja ever finds himself alone in a room with a strange woman, he leaves the room immediately, according to the streamer. For him, that is “fidelity”.
Additionally, Ninja says that he does not send private messages except to “his boys.” There are no private messages with women, the 33-year-old states. As an exception, he mentions his Fortnite colleague Maria “Chica” Lopez – who happens to be married to a woman herself. In such cases, he informs his wife, the streamer assures.
He jokes: “If I don’t know you, I’m not sending you messages. I don’t want to get to know you and then find out that you’re only 7.” In this regard, Ninja also intends to remain scandal-free, as he explains: “Don’t talk to minors. Hello? It’s not difficult. Just don’t do it. What year is it? How hard can it be? I don’t do it.”
Already in August 2018, Ninja caused a stir with a similar statement when he announced that he would not stream with women to avoid rumors. Critics accused him of sexism. However, he made an exception for a very special woman back then.
