No Man’s Sky new update NEXT is now available on PS4, PC and Xbox One. The update is free to download if you already own the base game. With update 1.5, No Man’s Sky will finally receive features like multiplayer and a character editor with aliens. The download is substantial.
NEXT is twice as big as the base game: The download is about 10 GB in size. That’s double the size when considering the base game and the DLCs Atlas Rises, Pathfinder, and Foundation updates combined.
With NEXT, No Man’s Sky seems to finally become the game it always wanted to be. After its release in August 2016, player disappointment was high because the game couldn’t live up to the hype and the announcements. However, with NEXT everything is supposed to change:
The main new features summarized:
- Multiplayer
- Weekly new content for No Man’s Sky – including community events
- Base building has been significantly expanded and improved
- Third-Person
- Character editor
- Graphical overhaul
- User interface revamp
