The construction and design of these stations seem to be very enjoyable for players, who proudly showcase their creations on Steam or Reddit. All that’s left is the ability to build your own space stations. Wait, that’s even possible now with a trick!
Build your own space station
If you want to create a base in the orbit of a planet, you simply have to disable the height limit for constructions. You can do this by searching for the file “TKGRAPHICSSETTINGS.MXML” in the “BinariesSETTINGS” folder of No Man’s Sky on Steam. In this file, change “RemoveBaseBuildingRestrictions” to “true”. While this won’t have your base floating in space, you can build it high enough so that it is in orbit around the planet. With some creativity, it can indeed look like a space station. For example, by building all the rooms and modules in space and only connecting them to the ground with a ladder.
