In No Man’s Sky, “the center” has supposedly already been reached. However, the “leaker” does not reveal exactly what this is about.
On Saturday, we reported on a hardcore fan who paid a horrendous amount for a leaked copy of No Man’s Sky on eBay. Since then, there have been short gameplay videos online, filled with spoilers. However, the “leaker” admitted that he no longer wants to spoil anything. He only wanted to give a brief impression of the mood of the highly anticipated game.
Now he comes with a message that many fans are taking notice of: No Man’s Sky can allegedly be “completed” faster than expected.
30 Hours to the Center of the Galaxy
Even though the user is no longer uploading gameplay, he is still providing curious fans with somewhat spoiler-free tidbits of information. He claims that there is an easily obtainable resource with which one can zip through the galaxy at warp speed. This would allow players to reach the center of the galaxy within 30 hours – which is considered the “goal” of No Man’s Sky.
Furthermore, the leaker states that he did not rush during this process. To counteract the monotony of the journey, he also visited and explored a few planets.
He reveals that the terrain and the overall mood of each planet were surprisingly refreshing. There was never a moment when he landed on a planet and said, “Oh no, not this again.”
The game also feels very smooth. The space flights are fast enough to keep boredom at bay, but still long enough to give the impression that one is crossing realistic space distances. Additionally, the sounds and audio of this game are among the best he has ever experienced.
What exactly happens when one reaches the center, what the center looks like, or what the center actually is, the user does not reveal – fortunately. Whether the game is then finished or if one can continue the journey is also a matter of speculation. Much remains a mystery in No Man’s Sky.
Once, Sean Murray, the founder of Hello Games, said it would take about 100 hours to reach whatever “the center” is. Later, he mentioned that it would take significantly longer, possibly hundreds of hours.
Finally, we also do not know what the leaker has exactly achieved. He just claims to have arrived at the center.
Starting August 10, we will all be able to embark on the journey in the galaxy in No Man’s Sky. It will then be released in Europe on PS4.
