No Man’s Sky is not free of problems. In a game of this scale and with all the innovation and ambition behind it, it’s not surprising that there are bugs and crashes.
However, the team at Hello Games is working hard to locate and fix these issues. Sean Murray, Creative Director of No Man’s Sky, explains that they did not expect such a high number of players, who are also spending so much time in the game. They are currently developing a patch for many of the known issues and will release it as soon as possible.
The patch is coming!
They have formed a new QA team to support Sony’s QA team. First, they are addressing the most severe issues in the game, and a patch is already in development. They have also hired a new support staff member and will switch the entire system to a ticket-based system next week.
Until the patch is released, Sean Murray offers some tips on how to handle certain situations. For example, if you think you are lost and can’t find your ship, you can fly indefinitely with the jetpack if you press against any surface. You can return to one of the two save games in the options menu if you made a mistake in the game. If you have parked your ship in a location that you can no longer reach, you can call it to a landing pad and a beacon.
How to bypass the pre-order issues
Players who did not receive their pre-order bonus typically did not request it correctly. They may also not recognize it because the names are not displayed correctly. The Alpha Vector Ship is called Domanish S84 in the game, and the Rezosu AZ65 is known as Final Shadow XIV. The known issue with the pre-order ship and changing to a new ship without a hyperdrive can be resolved by restarting the Playstation 4. Because actually, you should be directed to an NPC from whom you can obtain such a drive.
Soon Hello Games will announce more details about the upcoming patch for No Man’s Sky.
