The space simulation No Man’s Sky may receive paid DLCs in the future after all. Hello Games is backpedaling.
No Man’s Sky has had a sensational launch on PS4 and PC. Countless explorers are currently browsing the vast space simulation, enjoying all the discoveries they make in space and on the planets.
A few days ago, the founder of Hello Games, Sean Murray, stated that all future content would be free. Those who paid for No Man’s Sky should also receive every new content without having to pay more money. He also directly stated that there would be no paid DLCs, only patches.
New features could be paid
However, Murray backtracked to the Daily Star and called this statement “perhaps naive.” He can no longer rule out paid DLCs. Because possibly new features will come in the future that they cannot afford if they do not charge money for them.
However, the course is still being held that the upcoming updates will be free. A massive space freighter and the ability to build bases are already planned for the next update.
The goal is to continuously provide No Man’s Sky with new content and features to build a community of players who enjoy spending well over 400 hours in the game.
In the same interview with the Daily Star, Murray did not rule out that No Man’s Sky could also appear on Xbox One.
