Horde and Alliance in World of Warcraft are divided into two fashionable factions. Because shoulder armor determines on whose side you stand.
A few days ago, we already reported that the players of World of Warcraft have called for a boycott of a special kind. After Varok Saurfang laid down his shoulder pieces in the cinematic “Old Warrior”, thousands of players within World of Warcraft followed suit.
Saurfang and Sylvanas – two sides of the Horde. With the events of the War of Thorns, the Horde is divided. There are numerous players who can identify with Sylvanas and her goals of a war of annihilation against the Alliance.
At the same time, however, a large part of the players views Sylvanas’s actions as dishonorable and stands on the side of Saurfang, who condemns the burning of Teldrassil and now has to live with the shame of his actions.
Shoulder division reaches servers. Meanwhile, it can be clearly seen on most servers which character stands on which side, as “NoHonorNoPauldrons” has taken over the servers of World of Warcraft.
In America, this is much stronger than in Europe, but even on German realms, the topic is often discussed in trade channels.
But not only in World of Warcraft, also outside the game, fans show their allegiance. Many players, for example, publish screenshots of their heroes on Reddit and Twitter and call for them to take off their shoulder pieces. The hashtag #NoHonorNoShoulders quickly became popular.
In any case, Blizzard is attracting a lot of attention for Battle for Azeroth.
Which side do you stand for? Do you support Sylvanas in her relentless campaign to secure a place for the Horde in the world? Or do you stand behind Saurfang, for whom honor is more important than conquest itself?
