For the latest Weekly Reset, Guardians wanted to dive into the new Bergusia Forge to craft the last weapons and uncover the final secrets. However, things turned out differently: the last forge in Destiny 2 is still closed almost 24 hours later. What happens now?
This is what the Guardians were looking forward to: Admittedly, the quest to unlock the Izanami Forge was, in the eyes of many Guardians, long and monotonous, but at least every Guardian could tackle this quest without issues.
A similar questline was expected by the Guardians for the new last Weekly Reset. A few missions here and there, shooting hundreds of aliens in the face. But everything turned out quite differently.
Because Bungie announced via Twitter that access to the last forge, Bergusia, is tied to a puzzle. Only when this puzzle is solved will all Guardians have the opportunity to complete the last forge.
Puzzle still unsolved: For over 24 hours now, some streamers and thousands of viewers have been trying to solve the really tricky puzzle sequence – so far without success.
This makes the activity unresolved longer than any previously released raid in Destiny 2 and is likely only comparable to the solution of the exotic quest for the pulse rifle Outbreak Prime from the Destiny 1 raid Wrath of the Machine.
The Niobe Lab – the currently known steps
These are the known puzzles: In fact, a presumably large part of the puzzle has already been cracked.
Many suspect that the streamers are currently at the last and final step that will ultimately unlock the Bergusia Forge. The entrance to the Niobe Labs is located south of the EDZ, you need to pass a bridge.
To solve the puzzles, you first must complete two puzzles that you can do with three forge weapons. Specific symbols must be hit with the three guns
- Hammerhead (machine gun)
- Tatara’s Breath (sniper rifle) as well as
- The Malicious Bite (bow)
must be hit.
After completing the two puzzles, a mission starts, consisting of currently 7 known levels. If you fail at a level, you have to start over from the beginning.

First streamers are desperately giving up
No progress – streamers are giving up: Just a few hours ago, level 7 was unlocked. Since then, no further progress has been made.
Streamers like Datto have now given up for the time being after almost 24 hours. Only Gladd and Ninjyy, who was also able to solve the sixth stage, are still active.
Player criticism is growing louder – Bungie asks for feedback: As the puzzle has been unsolved for over 24 hours, many Guardians are upset, having wanted to start the new forge activity yesterday. Corresponding posts on Reddit have received a lot of traffic and are leading to controversial discussions.
Community Manager Cozmo posted under one of the threads that Bungie is closely monitoring the current situation.
They have never done something like this before and are now gathering feedback. However, it is not known how Bungie will proceed with the situation.
