Nintendo’s fighting classic Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is gaining fighters from the Fatal Fury series. However, one heroine from there will not be included because she is too sexy.
This was announced: In a live stream, Masahiro Sakurai, director of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, announced new DLC featuring the character Terry Bogard. This fighter is known from Fatal Fury.
However, Sakurai also pointed out that one female fighter will not be included: Mai Shiranui. She is one of the main characters in Fatal Fury. His reasoning is likely to make many players chuckle, as the character is simply too sexy for the Nintendo classic.
This is how Nintendo explains the exclusion of Mai Shiranui
This is what Sakurai says: The director explains in the stream that Super Smash Bros. is for young players, and the character would not fit in.
“You may have noticed that a very important character from the Fatal Fury series is not included. Yes, Mai Shiranui. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is for good boys and girls of all ages, so we decided not to show her; please forgive us.”
Is the character really that revealing? Looking closely at Mai Shiranui, one can see a lot of skin and little clothing. In fact, no character in the roster of fighters from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate looks as revealing.
This character is still included: Currently, you can also fight with Bayonetta in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In her own games, Bayonetta was often a bit more revealing, but in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, she is fully clothed.

This could theoretically also have been done with Mai Shiranui, but the development team apparently decided against it.
What other characters are there? The roster is full of colorful fighters. There are Mario, Sonic, and Donkey Kong, but also characters from Street Fighter.
Recently, the Overwatch team also offered that Nintendo can have any character from their game for Super Smash Bros.
