Apex Legends has already hosted its first tournament called “Twitch Rivals Tournament.” In it, the Fortnite pro Ninja won with an extremely narrow victory. However, some said Ninja was just “carried.”
This is how the first tournament in Apex went: In Apex Legends, the Twitch Rivals Tournament was the first tournament. It involved several famous streamers performing in teams of three in regular matches.
This was the goal: In four hours, participants were to accumulate as many kills and wins as possible with their heroes in regular Apex rounds. Points were awarded for kills and wins. Whoever had the best score at the end received a prize of $8,000.
Additional ranks received progressively less, going up to rank 8 with $3,000 as the prize.
Ninja’s team wins narrowly
Among the participants in the tournament were notable streamers, including the infamous mustached DrDisrespect, the “human aim-bot” Shroud and Fortnite star Ninja, who teamed up with streamers KingRichard and Dizzy.
This is how Ninja’s team won: Throughout the tournament, spectators witnessed extreme scenes. The tournament participants showed no mercy and slaughtered their opponents as if in a frenzy. Thousands of kills and a massive number of wins were achieved.
In the end, Ninja’s team “Kings Canyon” was narrowly in the lead. Only a single point separated them from the second-placed team, which had more kills (369) but only 10 wins. The last match win made the difference, and this win was achieved in the final match of the tournament.
By the end, Ninja’s team had 355 kills, 13 wins, and thus 420 points. The second team ended up with 369 kills, 10 wins, and 419 points.

It couldn’t be closer. Ninja celebrated his victory with a tweet, in which he boasted an impressive statistic. According to him, he had already won the first official tournaments in H1Z1, PUBG, and Fortnite. Now he adds the first tournament win in Apex Legends to that list.
DrDisrespect’s fans criticize Ninja
This is why Ninja is being criticized: However, Ninja’s victory is not well received by all fans. DrDisrespect, who participated in the tournament with moderate success and only managed to finish in 5th place, tweeted afterward, “It felt good to play with my normal crew of friends/streamers.”
Some fans see this as a subtle jab at Ninja. He teamed up with KingRichard and Dizzy, a crew that does not typically belong to his regular teammates.
“Ninja was carried.”
He was the star of the 1st Apex tournament: Especially Coby “dizzy” Meadwos characterized the 1st Apex tournament with outstanding skills.
He is considered the big winner of the tournament. dizzy actually comes from the CS:GO scene. He set the record for solo kills in APEX with 33 kills, thus eliminating more than half the lobby.
Because Ninja teamed up with such a killer, some viewers accuse him of being a tryhard who simply picked the best squadmates he could find. Unlike the Doc, who they believe played faithfully and honestly with his friends.
Some fans of the Doc also point out: “Ninja was carried all day long by Dizzy.”
