What does this Ninja have planned this time? Ninja is the most significant streamer in Fortnite and has a massive number of followers who watch his escapades live every day. The streamer is more influential than some professional football players. Now he wants to take it up a notch.
Mega stream from Times Square in New York: On New Year’s Eve, Ninja wants to make a big impact and stream for 12 hours straight from 4 PM on December 31, 2018, until 4 AM on January 1, 2019. That would be from 10 PM to 10 AM in our time.
This time Ninja will not be streaming from home but live at Times Square in New York.
What is so special about Times Square? For many, New York is the cultural capital of the USA and thus a center of the world. And Times Square is the living heart of the city.
On New Year’s Eve, Times Square becomes one of the most important places in the world. Celebrations are particularly intense there, and at midnight a glowing ball is lowered onto the New York Times building.
Furthermore, numerous performances by musicians and parties take place at Times Square on New Year’s Eve. Therefore, the location is the center of New Year’s parties in the USA, watched by millions of viewers.
Gaming is becoming increasingly popular
Another step towards the mainstream: That Ninja has managed to perform at Times Square during one of the most important times of the year shows yet again how popular Fortnite has become and how much gaming has moved to the forefront of the mainstream.
