The Fortnite pro Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is annoyed by 2 weapons that returned in Chapter 2. He now wants them removed from the game.
Which weapons is he referring to? The Mini-Gun and the Heavy Sniper should be removed from the game. At least that’s what the Fortnite pro Ninja wants.
For these two weapons, players would need absolutely no skill, the pro claims. The worst weapon in Fortnite has already been identified by the pro and he wants it removed from the game as well.
What defines these weapons? The Mini-Gun can fire many shots in quick succession. Thus, it can destroy all buildings shortly or quickly drain players’ health points.
The Heavy Sniper is currently strong. It can land a headshot at long distances, dealing 375 damage to players. Thus, a player is directly eliminated, even if they have full health and shield.
No wonder players wanted a nerf for this:
The weapons require no skill
What does Ninja think about the two weapons? In a stream on April 24, he played with Twitch streamer SypherPK, after Ninja had frequently been meeting in his Mixer streams while playing CoD Warzone and Valorant (via Mixer).
However, things didn’t go well for the pro in the first game. His teammate SypherPK was quickly eliminated, and Ninja struggled against 2 opposing players.
With two players equipped with a Mini-Gun, they were able to quickly breach Ninja’s built box and eliminate him in seconds. This visibly frustrated the streamer.

He says he came back to Fortnite to have fun. But then his teammate is hit by a Heavy Sniper and goes down. With a Mini-Gun, he is ultimately eliminated.
“Can they finally remove the Heavy Sniper from the game? I will tell you which two weapons should never have returned … the Mini-Gun and the Heavy Sniper.”
The biggest problem with these weapons is that handling them is not so difficult and any player can be successful with them. Players land a lucky hit with the Heavy Sniper and are rewarded with an elimination.
“I guarantee you, no player was eliminated by these weapons and thought: This player had so much skill and totally outsmarted me.”
According to Ninja, the regular snipers were fine. A body hit dealt about 90 damage and the hit player still had a chance to counter. With the Heavy Sniper, that wouldn’t be the case.
Although Ninja says he hates complaining too much, he already has some suggestions for improvements for Season 3 in Fortnite. These are the things Fortnite needs to change to bring more players back.
