The famous streamer Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is currently spending a lot of time in the Warzone of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. However, there is one important feature that distinguishes the Battle Royale from the competition that he does not like at all.
What is Ninja complaining about? For the big Mixer streamer, the Warzone of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare currently offers a lot of fun. But he doesn’t think it’s great that you can bring your own loadouts and equipment into the Battle Royale.
This is one of the most important mechanics in the game and a clear unique selling point compared to established BR shooters like Fortnite or Apex Legends.
Ninja finds personal loadouts “annoying”
What do personal loadouts bring? Like in other Battle Royales, you can loot weapons and equipment in the Warzone. But besides that, you also have the option to request your own loadouts.
This gives players of the regular multiplayer of Modern Warfare an initial advantage since many already have unlocked all the weapons and can bring really strong loadouts into the BR.
Thus, there are strong perks, your favorite weapons, and specific attachments that you otherwise couldn’t access in the Warzone. In our “Tips for the Warzone“, we explain why this is so important.
What annoys Ninja about it? The streamer tweeted a statement about the “Custom Loadouts” and was not impressed:
In his opinion, personal setups would severely limit the variety of equipment that players use in the Warzone.
From all directions, players get sniped and everyone is using thermal scopes. Everyone is eager to finish off a downed player at 400 meters with their 16x “Thermal”.
His colleague and Apex Legends pro Jack “NiceWigg” Martin agrees and says that campers would benefit from it, especially “High Ground Snipers”. In a later Twitter post, however, “NiceWigg” states: “But I love the loadout drops too. It’s hard to say hahaha.”
Could there be adjustments here? Minor Warzone adjustments that only apply to the Battle Royale are conceivable. For example, some perks have already been adjusted to fit the Warzone. Since it is likely that more content and events are planned, a “loadout-free event” might come soon to provide variety.
If the impression strengthens among players, extra features for the Warzone would be conceivable. The thermal scopes could be nerfed or completely banned. But so far, there is no statement on this and we will see how it develops.
A severe exploit has already been patched and likely four more annoying bugs will follow on Tuesday. In which direction the BR develops is still unclear.
