In the wake of “OG Fortnite,” Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is back and competing for the top of Twitch. Even Mongraal is back. In Germany, MontanaBlack climbs to second place in the Fortnite charts. What does Ninja have to do with Fortnite?
- The streamer “Ninja” was the figurehead of Fortnite in 2017. At a time when hardly anyone understood the game, the hyper-ambitious Ninja already shone in the shooter.
- During 2018, Ninja got used to the constant cursing and became the first child-friendly “mega-star” of Twitch. He landed on the covers of sports magazines thanks to Fortnite, was invited to talk shows, and appeared at the Superbowl. He also downed one energy drink after another from sponsor Red Bull.
- But at some point, the hype ended, and Ninja’s star sank more and more. Recently, he hardly played a role on Twitch. The viewer numbers had dropped by 88% over 3 years.
Ninja overtakes young successor Clix easily – 1,300% growth
That has now changed. Since “OG Fortnite” is here, i.e., the old Fortnite map, Ninja is also back at the top of Twitch:
The 32-year-old is currently the biggest Fortnite streamer in the world, has 700,000 more hours than his young successor Clix (18). His viewer hours increased by 1,298% in the last 7 days. When Ninja streams, he currently has 33,000 viewers again, peaking at 124,000.
With “Mongraal,” one of the old guard is also back: The 19-year-old Brit suddenly became number 3 in Fortnite after a long break. Ahead of him is Gotaga, a star streamer from France who was also able to almost quadruple his viewer hours thanks to Fortnite.

What does it look like in Germany? In Germany, MontanaBlack has pushed up to second place in the Fortnite charts with just 8 hours in Fortnite. An average of 29,081 wanted to watch him.
Only Eliasn97 is ahead of him, but he was on air more than twice as long as MontanaBlack.
What is the question right now? There is currently a running gag: Where is Tfue? Because Turner “Tfue” Tenney was the one who replaced Ninja as the “best Twitch streamer” for Fortnite. However, he ended his career some time ago.
Now, many are joking with the idea that Tfue should just come back. Especially DrDisrespect is having fun announcing that tomorrow he will play again with Tfue.
By the way, DrDisrespect is not one of the “old Fortnite guard”; he actually always found the shooter dumb. However, even the doctor is currently having fun with the “OG version.”
